Let us applaud the achievements of MLK. Let us remember he was a man of action. Let us remember he was a man of principle. Let us remember that he was a man of integrity. Let us also remember he was scorned, beaten, imprisoned, ridiculed, spent many a sleepless night, separated from his family (wife and children), and murdered. Let us remember he did not achieve anything alone of himself but God was his strength. If you applaud him today and fail to carry the torch of making our community a better place…please sit down.

A native to the Pacific Northwest, I was born and raised on the Hilltop in Tacoma WA. I am a creative and enjoy the flexibility of being a Mixed Media Artist. My work is politically driven, introspective, and tells a story whether past, present, or future. I recently entered the Public Art arena and look forward to uniting my visionary ideas and education to create lasting public works that will speak for generations to come. I have a Master of Public Health from Argosy University-Online, Associates of Arts and Science from Tacoma Community College, a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Evergreen State College-Tacoma Campus, and Owner of ND Art Studios. My dream is to set up and run a non-profit Urban Development and Rural Project Management organization. My motto: Engage, Inspire, Create. Art Flow, LaQuita S. Thurman View all posts by ND Art Studios
