Let us applaud the achievements of MLK. Let us remember he was a man of action. Let us remember he was a man of principle. Let us remember that he was a man of integrity. Let us also remember he was scorned, beaten, imprisoned, ridiculed, spent many a sleepless night, separated from his family (wife and children), and murdered. Let us remember he did not achieve anything alone of himself but God was his strength. If you applaud him today and fail to carry the torch of making our community a better place…please sit down.
