Life lessons in uncertain times:Beloved you can be certain.
Hmmmmmm…exhale. It has been awhile since I have written at length via my digital journal…I have written new poems on scratch paper. I decided to complete my manuscript before uploading anything else. Now back to the title: Life lessons in uncertain times..Beloved you can be certain…A whirlwind of activities has been going on nationally, internationally, and personally. The political climate is “straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel” while locally random acts of violence are breaking out daily in the local paper and news headlines. All of these birth pains leading to a climax of what we cannot foresee. Our White House in political slumber on the peoples issues while people are dying, starving, unemployed, underpaid, seeking justice, and all this while lavishly getting paid (working class dollars at work) they cannot feel the pain of the average citizen they are far out of reach to the sting of poverty, late bills, bill collectors,health insurance policies or the lack thereof, and student loan threats/debts. Frankly I am tired…the pursuit of happiness..what does that mean anyways??? I was told as a child that hard work paid off, if you do not work you do not eat, and laziness is a sin. Okay so being a workaholic has not kept me from experiencing some of the above mention typical stresser of an everyday citizen… so all these life lessons in uncertain times…Beloved you/me/we can be certain God will work all things together for our good. I believe. Do you?

Leaning on the everlasting arms
Which molded us from the dust
Yet removed use from Eden’s bliss
Out of the midst serpent tempt
Forbidden fruits
Sweet to taste bitter roots
Word denied
Humanities decline of intellectual innocency
Twisted don’t miss this
Techknowledge increase
Worldwide network global unity
Deceptive on a micro level
While families are disheveled
Communities in dire need of cohesivity
Societal changes rearrange the face of church and state
Religion once a belief now a form of meaningless ritualistic costume parties
Pomp and pride like a garment to tight
Squeezing the life out of sympathy empathy
Tearless eyes for fellowmen exempt from privilege
Facing hard times others doing time for crimes of non conformity
To the customs of the majority rules
Fool’s gold won’t pay your bills stop popp’in them pills of unbelief
Reality of economic depression brings chill
Arctic melt down lost count of oil spills
Global destruction
Money hungry tycoons
Raping the earth of its resources repeatedly
Until life hangs in the balance your check book
Crooks in the red
Blood shed
Throughout the earth
When
Will it ever stop?
Pop inflation
Paper chase’ in
Instead of ends meet
We meet the end
Of our rope
Choked
By the corruption of unethical leaders
Who
Shall free us from these prison bars
Is there really life on Mars?
Because we need all the help we can get
Gather the Elders
Who
Dream dreams of past present future events
Interpretation
This race is coming to an end
The Sky Is “NOT” falling….
Concerning this so called show-down of political propaganda on”To-be taxed or Not to-be taxed”…another”upper-cut” to the working class and middle class folks. FACT:The bible warns about storing up treasures on this earth where thieves break in and steal, where moth and dust corrupt…basically there is not protection for earthly goods. Material things are here today gone tomorrow…learn about! We hear of this tragic reality every-time a tornado, hurricane, tsunami, or earthquake shakes this continent. Oh! the frailty of human life so why place so much value on things. Is not the human life of far greater value. There are then people who’s treasure is stored up in heaven and although to the earthly eyes it does not look like much…God can see the sweat of their brow and spiritually speaking they are billionaires who will enjoy their wealth throughout eternity…TAX FREE…no man can take it away…not even nature itself will spoil their possessions…huh!!! There are people who break their back working more then two jobs…still fighting to live in this so called “Pursuit of Happiness”. Does hard-work pay off…sure! Consequently, many will never see it in this life…All forms of SLAVERY being a prime example. So too all those in tune..keep it push’in cause God can see you. It shall be well. BOTTOM LINE… God is the Provider and bills or no bills the sustainer of human life. Shalom.
